After a time of struggle and debate with myself, I made it to church on the hot sunny Saturday afternoon. The BB and GB has started their journey through the various station. I weaved through the teams and made my way up to the youth area on the 1st floor. I came asking God that I’ll encounter Him afresh today. And He honored my prayers.
I made my way through each station – reading and meditating on the verses, reflecting on the object and just being in His presence.
Two main themes came to mind…
The first, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is a God of second chance. In His unconditional love for me, He send His one and only son to die on the cross as payment for my sins. Without this second chance, I would not have had a savior and redeemer. I would not had this opportunity to be made right with God. I pray that I’ll not squander the second chance given, and to take very opportunity to share this news of the second chance to others,
The second, Jesus death on the cross and His resurrection marks the beginning of the end. End of my life without hope. End of my losing battles against sin. End of me trying to gain salvation with my works. Its the beginning of a new life in Christ. A beginning of knowing I’m loved and God’s grace is sufficient for my salvation. The beginning of knowing I continue my journey on earth not alone but with God.
Thank you Lord
for your love for me and mankind
to the point of sending your son to die on the cross as a redemption for our sins.
Thank you Jesus
for your obedience and sacrifice in dying on the cross and resurrecting on the 3rd day.
Thank you Holy Spirit
for always being with me, counselling and reminding me of the grace I have received and whose I am. This I am forever thankful and grateful.
