Hi!
My name is Kelly. This is my third time attending the Alpha course, and each time has been a unique experience. The first time, I was very young and didn’t fully understand what was going on, so it was just okay. The second time really changed me, and I was eager to come back for a third time. This time I came back as a Helper.
Before I came to Alpha, I didn’t really understand Christianity. But through the course, I learned more about who Jesus is and what He did for me on the cross. I began to understand the depth of His love for me and the forgiveness He offers.
I’m usually the type of person who never shares my faith with others, but during Alpha, something changed. I found myself asking questions that I had always wanted to ask, and I started to open up more. The group discussions were a safe and supportive environment where I felt comfortable sharing.
The most memorable experience in Alpha is when a participant commented: “It’s very encouraging to see young adults come to join Alpha.” It really struck me made me realise that my participation was making a difference and encouraging others.
What I appreciate about Alpha is that it’s not the most serious Bible study out there. You can be yourself, ask controversial questions, and talk about anything. It’s a place where you can explore your faith without fear of judgment or criticism.
I am grateful for the Alpha course and the impact it has had on my spiritual journey. It has helped me to deepen my relationship with God and connect with others who share my faith. I highly recommend it to anyone. Just try it and you will see!
